Hi Stackers!
Last year, I was working on a personal essay I currently call “The Cost.” It start at “the end” with a medical procedure that ended years of (some of) my suffering and symptoms.
Since this week is a bit out of whack already (I recorded a quick audio clip for Tuesday’s free post), I thought I’d share some of my writing here with y’all and continue my audio clips next week.
Now, this is a personal essay - it’s about me, but it’s also very personal. My goal with this essay is to talk about something that a lot of women experience, but to connect the pain and treatments and ultimate “cure” to the financial and other costs I paid. The audience is meant to include people who don’t know me and may not know about these very common experiences first hand, but it is very, very personal.
So I’m sharing it here with y’all first.
